The Army 5th Special Forces Group operations forces was founded on September 21, 1961. They saw extensive action in Vietnam and a pivotal role in Operation Enduring Freedom. The Army 5th Special Forces Group Patch would have been worn on the beret and is currently used to this day. The patch has beautifully embroidered front with vibrant colors of white accent around the edge with black, bright yellow and red. The back of the new Army 5th Special Forces Group Patch is reinforced to have it stand at attention on the beret. The patch measures 2.5" X 3"
